ICON COLLECTIVE:

Digital Music Production & Recording School in Los Angeles

Icon Collective, a Los Angeles based recording school specializing in music production, is propelling forward; inspiring a new generation of artists and music producers that are ready and willing to embrace technology in today’s brave new digital age. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, Icon Collective’s music production school provides students with the knowledge and tools to produce, market and sell commercial grade music and media straight from their laptops.

Founded by a Los Angeles based collective of veteran artists and producers, Icon Collective has established itself as a family of mavericks and mavens in electronic music production, empowering its students by freely sharing knowledge, experience, tools and creative vision.

Icon Collectives music production school is a refreshing change in philosophy and approach from the rest of recording schools and engineering training programs in Los Angeles; whose emphasis are focused on training “technical engineers” in aspects of the recording process. Icon Collective’s music production and recording school’s mission is to empower artists, Djs and beat-makers to live creative lifestyles and make a living using 21st century digital tools that simplify and enable the process of creating, marketing, distributing and selling their music. IC educates, motivates and inspires their students so they can overcome creative blocks and thrive in an environment where technology and its mastery achieves success.

Icon Collective is uniquely run by experienced artists, producers and maverick educators who know first hand that there is much more to making great music than knowing how to “record the track”. Icon Collective’s approach to teaching music production continues to center its studies on mastering digital production tools and the ever-essential creative process. By including one-on-one weekly studio time with an assigned mentor in their state-of-the-art recording studios, located within their dynamic Downtown Los Angeles campus; each student is encouraged to continually develop a distinctive sense of style by applying production and recording music knowledge to express their creative vision.

Unlike other music production and recording programs where you receive a certificate and walk out the door, Icon Collective’s alumni become part of an ever growing and influential collective family of artists and producers who are constantly providing feedback to new students. By challenging themselves to stay on top of the latest technologies, collaborating and remixing each other’s productions, the collective creates a supportive atmosphere that goes beyond the traditional classroom paradigm and extends far into the industry.

Icon Collective’s powerful industry connections and event nights give their up and coming artists, DJ's, producers and graduates inside opportunities to display their talents and gain real world connections and experience. Come and experience the unique energy and atmosphere of our Collective. This is who we are, what we do, and reflects our mindset for living a creative artistic lifestyle. We welcome you to join our collective of successful graduates and faculty by enrolling in our Digital Music Production program.

scs3d_angle_smOnce in awhile you get the feeling that you’re looking at a product that will inspire DJ’s VJ’s, artists and producers to interact with their software from a fresh perspective. DaScratch from Stanton is definitely giving off that type of vibe.
